Jackson Water Services – JWS

1-Ownership of all parts remains the property of JDH until the invoice is paid. After payment, parts are the client’s responsibility.

2-JWS is responsible for works, materials, and labour until completion. Afterward, the client assumes responsibility, including manufacturer’s guarantees. JWS will assist and support with the maintenance of the water treatment and water system.

3-We will contact you annually to schedule the service of your water treatment system. For more information, email [email protected]. Annual service is strongly recommended to avoid, voiding warranties and emergency call outs. If issues arise from missed services, we will respond but cannot guarantee full restoration.

4-Estimates are valid for 30 days. Final invoices must be paid within 30 days. Disputes must be raised within 7 days. Overdue invoices may be referred to a third-party debt recovery agency, where additional fees will be added to recoup the debt.

5-Estimates are provided as a guide to the anticipated final invoice. They are based on the agreed scope of work, including expected labour, materials, and associated costs at the time of agreement. The final invoice may be adjusted to reflect any changes required to complete the work, and as such, the total amount may increase or decrease accordingly. JDH reserves the right to request 100% of the estimate prior to work being completed. Upon completion of the work, any credit will be reimbursed via BACs payment, or invoice raised against additional cost.

6-Amendments to estimates will be emailed for confirmation and will supersede previous correspondence.

7-If there is any outstanding debt on your account and it has been placed on stop, JWS reserves the right to suspend or terminate any current or future work until the balance is cleared in full. This may affect emergency call-out support and the ongoing maintenance of your system. JWS cannot accept responsibility for any failures in the water treatment systems or equipment, nor for any changes in water quality or quantity, that occur as a result of service suspension due to non-payment.

8-Confirmation of scheduled work will be sent via email. Cancellations made at least two working days in advance will not incur any charges. However, cancellation fees may apply based on the nature of the work and specific circumstances. If an engineer attends site and the work cannot be completed due to reasons beyond JWS’s control, a minimum charge will 

9-Line Searches, will help Identify any utilities and may cause a delay in the start of the work and could incur additional costs.

10–The client will be responsible if the removal of all spoil. JWS can provide the service of removing spoil at additional costs.

11-A deposit may be required to secure work. Full or part payment may be requested based on financial history.

12- Water sample results reflect conditions at testing time. JWS is not responsible for changes in the water conditions or other environmental impact or changes.

13-Parts are based on consultation and current conditions. JDH is not liable for environmental changes affecting performance. Manufacturer’s guarantees apply.

14-All installations that require a DAB Esybox or DAB Esybox Mini will automatically come with the Esygrid, protection guard – a wire mesh and sealing plugs (protection for unwanted entry of insects or other small animals sometimes found in exposed installation locations, which could compromise operation of the Esybox) This is an additional cost, that is automatically include in the cost of the pump and without may affect the warranty of the pump, which JDH will not accept any liability.

15–Manufacturer’s warranty, pumps have a one-year warranty from installation. Labour is guaranteed for one year. Once full payment is made, all warranties are handed to the client who will take full responsibility.

16-Emergency callouts aim to get the system working, which may only be temporary fix. Additional costs apply based on time and materials. Where a pump needs to be pulled and unless otherwise stated by the client, JWS will send two engineers (as required by H&S), which will be charged at the hourly rate and on top of the call out fee.

17-In the event of an emergency callout, we aim to keep all scheduled appointments as planned. However, depending on the nature of the emergency, there may be occasions where we need to cancel and reschedule appointments for a later date.

18-Additional costs for Principal Contractor roles will be discussed and agreed upon at the appointment. If the client requires PC once work has been confirmed, this will result in a delay in the start date to accommodate the additional responsibilities and will be charged in addition to existing estimates.

19- Once the water system has been installed and approved, it is the customer’s responsibility to notify the Local Authority of the completed work. You must also inform the Environment Agency if you plan to abstract more than 20,000 litres per day, where you will need to apply for an abstraction licence. Situations where both private and mains water supply will be used, then the customer must inform the water company of this intention. JDH accepts no responsibility for any consequences resulting from a failure to notify the relevant authorities and/or providers.
